You can disconnect YouTube through your HIVO AI dashboard or revoke Instagram authorization through Instagram’s own settings. These actions are separate from deleting your entire HIVO AI account. You may also request deletion of Instagram and Meta Platform Data held by HIVO AI without closing your entire account. Instructions for each option appear below.

How to Request Full Data Deletion

Email us at [email protected] with:

The subject line: "Delete my data"
The email address associated with your HIVO AI account
Your business name, so we can confirm we are deleting the right account

Response timeline We will respond within 5 business days to confirm we have received your request.

Deletion timeline We will delete or anonymize your personal information from active systems within 30 days after confirming your request, except where a shorter platform-specific requirement applies.

You do not need to provide a reason for your request, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

Request deletion of Instagram data only

To request deletion of Instagram and Meta Platform Data held by HIVO AI without closing your entire HIVO AI account, email [email protected] with:

Subject: “Delete my Instagram data”
The email address associated with your HIVO AI account
Your connected Instagram username

We may request reasonable information to verify that you are authorized to make the request. Do not send your Instagram password or access credentials.

We will process the request promptly and complete the applicable deletion as soon as reasonably possible under Meta’s requirements. Deleting this information may disable Instagram-dependent features until you authorize the connection again. We will confirm completion and explain any information retained under a permitted exception.

What We Delete

When you submit a verified full-data-deletion request, HIVO AI deletes or anonymizes applicable information from its active systems within 30 days, except where a shorter platform-specific requirement applies.

This may include:

Your HIVO AI account information, such as your name, email address, business information, and contact information
Brand voice documents, sample content, and uploaded media stored as part of your account
AI-generated drafts and approved content stored in your HIVO AI account
Vector embeddings created from your brand content
Connected-account credentials and connection information
Google and YouTube OAuth access and refresh credentials
Applicable YouTube API data associated with your authorization
Logs, analytics, and usage information tied to your account where deletion or anonymization is applicable

Meta and Instagram Data

A verified request to delete Instagram data, or a verified request to delete your full HIVO AI account, covers applicable Meta Platform Data held for your account. This includes:

Instagram access credentials and connection information.
Account identifiers, profile information, and media or post metadata obtained through the Instagram API.
Stored numerical performance information, such as views, reach, likes, comment counts, saves, shares, and interactions.
Applicable analytics, classifications, recommendations, performance-learning records, embeddings, and other information derived from that Meta Platform Data.

Aggregated or anonymized information derived from Meta Platform Data remains subject to Meta’s applicable requirements; anonymization is not a blanket substitute for required deletion.

HIVO AI deletes applicable Meta Platform Data as soon as reasonably possible when required by Meta’s terms, including following a verified deletion request, when the data is no longer needed for a permitted purpose, when the customer closes their account, or when Meta requires deletion. HIVO AI takes reasonable steps to ensure service providers handling the data for HIVO AI perform the applicable deletion.

Retention exceptions apply only where supported by applicable law or permitted by Meta’s applicable terms. General deletion timelines and retention exceptions elsewhere on this page do not override these requirements.

Deletion from HIVO AI does not automatically remove content previously published to Instagram or information independently held by Meta.

If you disconnect YouTube without deleting your full HIVO AI account, HIVO AI immediately disables the active YouTube connection, clears the active credentials used to access the connected account, and begins the applicable deletion process for Authorized Data associated with that connection.

Temporary processing copies may require a short controlled cleanup period and are removed under HIVO AI's data-lifecycle procedures and applicable provider requirements.

What May Be Retained

For Meta Platform Data, the following examples apply only where retention is permitted under Meta’s applicable terms and applicable law. They do not create independent exceptions to Meta’s deletion requirements.

Some information may remain after a deletion request where retention is legally permitted or required, including:

Secured backup copies, which may remain for a limited backup-retention period before deletion or anonymization
Billing and tax records retained as required by law
Records reasonably necessary to resolve an open dispute or enforce an agreement
Anonymized information that can no longer identify you
Limited non-sensitive technical records needed to prevent stale or previously disconnected integrations from becoming active again

Deleting information from HIVO AI does not automatically delete content that was previously published to a connected third-party platform.

HIVO AI also cannot recall or delete copies of communications that have already been delivered to a recipient's email account or that are independently retained by a third-party service or recipient. Those copies are subject to the recipient's or applicable third party's own controls and retention practices.

Disconnecting a Connected Account

To disconnect YouTube without deleting your full HIVO AI account:

Sign in to your HIVO AI dashboard.
Open Settings → Connections.
Select Disconnect YouTube.

For YouTube, HIVO AI immediately disables the active connection, clears the active OAuth credentials used to access the connected account, and begins the applicable deletion process for Authorized Data associated with that authorization.

After disconnection, HIVO AI will not initiate new access to or publish new content to the disconnected YouTube account unless you complete a new authorization.

Content previously published to YouTube is not affected by disconnecting HIVO AI.

Revoking Instagram authorization

To remove HIVO AI’s authorization using Instagram in a computer browser:

Sign in to the Instagram account connected to HIVO AI.
Open More, then Settings.
Under Your app and media, open Website permissions.
Open Apps and Websites and select Active.
Find the HIVO AI connection, which may appear as “Prop AI Social-IG,” and select Remove.

Instagram maintains its current instructions in the Instagram Help Center.

Once authorization has been revoked, HIVO AI will not use that authorization to initiate new Instagram API access or publish new content. Revoking authorization does not itself delete data already held by HIVO AI or posts already published to Instagram.

To request deletion of information held by HIVO AI, follow “Request deletion of Instagram data only” above.

Confirmation

Once your full data deletion is complete, we will send a confirmation email to the address on file, or to a forwarding address if you have provided one. The confirmation will include:

The date deletion was completed
A summary of what was deleted
A note of any information that was retained, and the legal basis for retaining it
